Join us February 24th for an ADEQ Briefing
We have recently been made aware of updated interpretations and compliance discussions coming from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) regarding non-road engine determinations and related air quality permitting requirements.
In short, there appears to be a shift in how ADEQ’s Air Quality Division is interpreting and enforcing certain non-road engine requirements. This could have operational and compliance implications for contractors utilizing generators and other mobile equipment that may remain at a facility for extended periods but are moved based on project needs.
ADEQ has offered to meet directly with AZAGC and our members to better understand industry perspectives and to clarify their position. We have scheduled a member briefing and stakeholder discussion to:
- Share what we currently understand about ADEQ’s interpretation
- Hear directly from members experiencing compliance concerns
- Identify operational impacts across the industry
- Have a constructive dialogue with ADEQ
The briefing will take place at AZAGC’s Environmental Professional Council’s quarterly meeting. All AZAGC members are invited. Here are the details:
