Construction Projects Receive Prestigious Build Arizona Awards

On January 26th, AZAGC awarded deserving projects with Build Arizona Awards for project excellence. Awards are considered for new construction and reconstruction projects completed in Arizona in the prior year. Winners were recognized at our annual awards banquet at Ruster’s Rooste in Phoenix.

Criteria include:
• Meeting the challenge of a difficult job.
• Excellence in project management.
• The Contractor’s innovation in construction technique or materials
• The Contractor’s sensitivity to environment and surroundings.
• Excellence in client service.
• The Contractor’s contribution to the community.
• Safety statistics for the project.

“Congratulations to all the recipients. The projects submitted as well as the companies are shining examples of how this industry delivers quality projects for a diversity of clients” said David M. Martin, president of the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. David also thanked the selection committee which is comprised of industry peers.

Greg Byers, the Arizona Department of Transportation’s State Engineer said, “Delivering quality projects for Arizona’s drivers while increasing safety for the travelling public is a priority for ADOT. Our contractors help make that possible. Congratulations to all the winners!!”
